Those working on Site administration: DO NOT use a live site to practice the interactive tasks, as some changes made may not be reversible. Setting changes should not be attempted on a live production server until all ramifications of such changes have been carefully considered.

Those working on Course development: DO NOT use a live course to practice the interactive tasks, as the changes may cause confusion for learners. Course activity changes can be implemented in live courses after considering the effects within a hidden test course.

  • If you are a Moodle LMS user and you do not have a sandbox site on your own server where you can safely experiment with Site Administration settings or Course Development tools, use our community sandbox site for your Moodle version via the Sandboxes link found in the main menu in Learning Spaces.
