✎ Sending Site Bulk Messages

Sandbox Site Task: Send a Site Bulk Message


  • Navigate to Site administration ► Users ► Accounts ► Bulk user actions.
  • Click to highlight the intended recipients from the Available box.
    • Highlight multiple names by holding the CTRL key.
    • Choose all available users by clicking the Add all button at the bottom of the page.

  • Once all desired recipients have been selected, click the Add to selection button to move them to the Selected box on the right.
  • From the With selected users... dropdown menu, choose "Send a message."
  • Click the Go button.
  • On the following screen, type the message "This is a test message to the site." in the Message body field.
  • Click the Save changes button at the bottom of the screen.
    • A preview of your message will appear, along with a list of intended recipients.
    • Click the Yes button to send the message.
    • Clicking the No button will return you to the Bulk user actions screen without sending the message.

Was the bulk message sent successfully?


Use the following steps to ensure that the bulk message was sent successfully.

  • Sign into the site as one of the recipients of the bulk message.
  • Confirm that a new message is indicated by the Messaging icon.
  • Navigate to User menu ► Messages
  • Confirm that the first account is listed in the Messages list as a sender of a message to the second test account. Select the first account.
  • Confirm that the message "This is a test message to the site." appears in the message thread.
