Why Use Data Hub?
The LMS is a powerful system for delivering courses, managing user enrollments, and recording student performance. However, it is common that organizations need to share data between the LMS and external systems such as SIS, EPR, HR, and Financial Record keeping systems. To address this need, Remote Learner has built Data Hub, a free plugin that facilitates the two-way communication of information - users, courses, enrollments and grades - between the LMS and other systems.

Do you need to update student accounts in the LMS with information from an external system?
Data Hub is a general tool for importing and exporting user/course/enrollment information, on demand or on a schedule, via CSV files. This is a common method for integrating SIS/HR/ERP/MIS systems with an LMS.
Data Hub can accept and produce CSV files containing student information that can be shared with or accepted from external systems.
Do you want to automatically notify students of new accounts?
If using the standard LMS method for bulk creation of student accounts, there is no mechanism for automatically notifying the users that they now have new accounts.
Data Hub includes functionality to notify users via email when new accounts are created for them using Data Hub import.
Do you require real-time data updates between the LMS and external systems?
Data Hub does not include a set of SIS specific plug-ins; meaning there isn't a direct link between the LMS and external systems. Data Hub requires that you can export CSV files from the external system in a format that Data Hub can process.
If a real-time connection to an external system is required, an alternate plugin or custom development solution is required.
